Internet Auction
Pursuant to the authority granted within Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 505.10(D), the Board of Trustees of Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio intends to dispose of unneeded, obsolete, or unfit-for-use property via internet auction. On June 11, 2024, and on each successive year thereafter, the Board of Trustees a Resolution authorizing the Township to enter into a memorandum of understanding with Liquidity Services Operations, LLC dba GovDeals, Inc. to dispose of township property via internet auction that is unneeded, obsolete, or unfit-for-use following adoption of a Resolution describing the property to be liquidated. Pursuant to approved legislation, when the Board of Trustees of Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio determines to dispose of Property by use of the GovDeals System, which may be accessed by interested parties and members of the public at https://www.govdeals.com/, it shall pass a resolution making such determination and establishing a minimum price that will be accepted for such property, and/or other terms and conditions for the particular sale, including posting time, requirements for pick-up or delivery, method of payment and sales tax, in compliance with the terms of the MOU and the internet auction requirements pursuant to ORC 505.10(D). The terms of the internet auction shall further be consistent with the memorandum of understanding executed by and between Liquidity Services Operations, LLC dba GovDeals, Inc. and Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio, a copy of which shall remain on file in the administrative offices of the Township, and is available for inspection upon request.
Legal notice of the intent to dispose of property via the GovDeals System, which may be accessed by interested parties and members of the public at https://www.govdeals.com/ shall be posted for not less than two (2) weeks prior to the start of the online auction, with such notice posted at the Township’s website, here.
